TEACHERS’ RESOURCES PACK
INTRODUCTION
This resource pack is intended to demonstrate to teachers of all Key Stages whether music specialist or not, some uses of the online music
for use in the classroom.
Having instant and easy access to this unique multi-million track collection will stimulate and enhance music making, knowledge and enthusiasm in the classroom, without having to buy a huge list of CDs. By being able to select and explore a wide range of music by themselves students can benefit from becoming thoroughly involved in practical and written work around chosen repertoire.
This pack aims to give the teacher a starting point by focussing on several ways to use the collection at all Key Stages and is aligned with the aims and attainment targets of the National Curriculum for music, chiefly listening, performing, appraising and composing.
The projects below are in no way definitive and can be adapted to suit your particular needs. The musical examples listed may be substituted for others more in line with your year group, ability or specific curriculum.
At its most basic it is safe to assume that whatever music/ repertoire/ song/ piece/ topic you are teaching, you will be able to find an example of it within Playtime! Click here for a User Guide
