Music can be used in many places and for many reasons within the education environment. PLAYTIME delivers these opportunities in a fast, legal and economical way. Prices start at less than the price of a CD per week for access to millions of recordings by everyone in the school as often as they wish.

New study concludes music in Schools is essential.
Music should be central to the school curriculum because it helps improve children's health and well-being. It is as important as English or Maths as it teaches pupils about co-operation and concentration and boosts relaxation, concluded a recent scientific study by Professor Susan Hallam of the Institute of Education, University of London.

PLAYTIME can be used to find and play music for so many reasons. For Example:

-          It is a class of 10 year olds in an Information Technology class and the objective is to teach them keyboard and mouse skills. The teacher gives them the following task: Go to www.broadchart.com/playtime and find and listen to 10 of your favourite music tracks. That’s a cool IT lesson.

-          It’s is a Geography lesson and the teacher plays some music from China, India, Caribbean etc, maybe it’s It is a History lesson and we can listen to music from different time periods.

-          We’re in a university and a music student is using playtime to help with music composition (music structures) and reviewing the same songs performed by different artists to see how they interpret the same song.

-          The children are bored as it’s raining at lunch break. Let’s create a playlist, playout the music and vote on the best track.

-          The Production team are looking for some music for the end of term play or the dance classes.

-          And don’t forget the music lesson itself – you have access to a world of music which supports the national curriculum requirements and enhances everything you want to do in the music classroom from Foundation Stage and KS1 right through to GCSE and ‘A’ level….and all aspects in higher education.

PLAYTIME is a unique multi-million track music library available on line and on demand to enable teachers and students to find, listen and learn.
