Other publications, which support both primary class teachers as well as secondary colleagues, include ‘Take Note’, ‘Making Musical Connections’, ‘Music Works’ all published by the BBC and most recently ‘Respect the Value for Music’ published by Ed Comms on behalf of British Music Rights.

She makes regular contributions to the T.E.S. and Music Teacher.
She travels extensively, running In service courses for both class and instrumental teachers as well as adjudicating for both the Regional and National Festivals of Music for Youth.

She was Chair of the National Association of Music Educators and continues to serve on the Executive of this association where she is chair of the Curriculum Task group.

She continues to be passionate about working to maintain the rightful place of music as an entitlement for all children, in a balanced primary curriculum and for its logical continuity into the secondary phase. At the same time she recognises the need to continue to build bridges and partnerships between the formal and informal sectors

She has recently been awarded an MBE for services to education.
