GENERAL USE
Playtime
can be used whenever you need music in school and don’t have the CD. It
is easy to search through its tracks, to save playlists, and to find
obscure and forgotten music.
With
a large selection of classical, jazz, world, film soundtracks, stage shows
and comedy as well as popular music tracks, anything can easily be
obtained for use in aural exams, compare and contrast, stylistic analysis,
written project work, composition and performance areas of the curriculum.
Music from AB graded syllabuses as well as GCSE and A level can often be
found, stored and listened to through the computer. Pupils can use it as a
research tool similar to the internet.
It
is not possible to download music from Playtime therefore it is hoped that
the resource will promote discussion about Copyright issues and help to
prevent students from using illegal websites to download music.
